Carrie's Biography
Carrie Lynn Yoder is a Ph.D. student in the Biological
Sciences Department at Louisiana State University. Carrie came to
LSU in the fall of 2000 with a M.S. degree from the University of
Central Florida. She has completed all requirements for her Ph.D.
degree in the Biological Sciences (Area of specialty is Ecology)
except her dissertation research. She has taken all required classes
and currently has a 3.8 GPA. She also has completed all requirements
for a minor in Experimental Statistics; this background in statistics,
along with an excellent background in plant population biology,
community ecology, and the ecology of coastal wetlands, should help
her analyze and interpret results of her dissertation research.
Carrie passed the General Examination (an written/oral examination
on all subject material in biology) in January, 2003. In this exam,
she discussed and defended her proposed research with the committee.
The committee has approved her Ph.D. research proposal. She also
presented the results of her research in a seminar to the Biological
Sciences Department.
