Cody Nehiba is an Assistant Professor of Research in the Center for Energy Studies at Louisiana State University. He studies the regulation and measurement of market failures within the scope of environmental, urban, and public economics. Much of Dr. Nehiba's work has focused on energy and environmental issues in the transportation sector, where there are numerous omnipresent market failures and complicated interdependencies between negative externalities. His research aims to disentangle these complexities and produce policy recommendations that lead to more equitable and efficient outcomes.
Dr. Nehiba received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Irvine in 2019 and a B.A. in economics from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, MN in 2014.
