University Distinguished Faculty Awards

The LSU College of Human Sciences & Education announces Elwood F. "Ed" Holton, III, EdD, as director of the LSU School of Leadership & Human Resource Development beginning June 1. Holton will continue to also serve in his role as Senior Director of the LSU Leadership Development Institute and Special Assistant to the Dean for Leadership Initiatives.

In its third year of working with the Louisiana Attendance Alliance and Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE,) LSU’s Social Research and Evaluation Center (SREC) has been invited to participate in a presentation at the White House on May 15.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced Wednesday, May 8, that LSU Laboratory School seniors Samuel Adjei and Lucy Nguyen are among this year’s National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners. Their outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities, and dedication to their studies have earned them this esteemed recognition.

Prestigious award recognizes the top 50 professionals worldwide

The LSU College of Human Sciences & Education announces John Nauright, PhD, as director of the LSU School of Kinesiology and will also serve as the Karen Wax Schmitt and Family Endowed Professor. Nauright will assume his role on June 1.

The LSU College of Human Sciences & Education named Lacy Dicharry as director of the Leadership Development Institute (LDI), effective April 22.

Our celebration will feature remarks from the Payne Family, LSU President William F. Tate IV and Dean Roland Mitchell, refreshments, a short video presentation and commissioned portrait unveiling, a panel discussion about the future of education in Louisiana, and exciting things LSU is doing to elevate the teaching profession.
