About Us

 The LSU Veterinary Medicine Library provides quality scholarly resources, services, and instruction to support the education and research programs of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.


Established in 1974, the Veterinary Medicine Library is a major health science library in the greater Baton Rouge area and serves the faculty, staff and students of the School of Veterinary Medicine as well as the LSU and Baton Rouge communities. The Library is a member of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine South Central Region and the Veterinary Medical Libraries Section of the Medical Libraries Association.


Located on the first floor of the School of Veterinary Medicine building, the Library's current holdings include both print and electronic resources dealing with all aspects of veterinary medicine, as well as selected materials on human medicine, comparative medicine, public health, the animal sciences and other related areas.
