Practice Name: Veterinary Emergency Hospital of Midlothian

City: Midlothian

State: Texas

Contact Person: Cody Daniels

Phone: 2142404231

Email: danielsdvm@gmail.com

Job Description

Veterinary Emergency Hospital of Midlothian, is a newly opening, privately owned, 24/7 animal ER facility in a southern DFW suburb. VEHM focuses on high quality, fast paced, medicine and surgery with special attention paid to clients and referring veterinarian satisfaction.

The ER is located in a southern DFW suburb, in one of the fastest growing areas which provides a unique opportunity for living, as you you could easily live in the city, with down town Fort Worth being less than 30min away, the suburbs, or in the country yet still have a short drive to work. The area provides plenty to do and is a warm community to live in.

The brand new ER facility is fully equipped with: central oxygen, Snyder oxygen cage, high flow oxygen therapy, top of the line ultrasound, GI and respiratory endoscopy, wide range of soft tissue surgery capabilities/tools, neonate/exotics incubator, digital radiographs, all the in house laboratory options, extensive patient monitoring including continuous ECG and in surgery CO2 monitoring, a plethora of medication options, and integrative medicine.

In addition to 24/7 ER care we will offer integrative medicine appointments during weekdays (doctor whose practice is limited to ER and integrative medicine) with cold laser, acupuncture, chiropractics, magna flow, etc. We also offer limited exotic emergencies. Neither will be required of a candidate but if interested there will be opportunity to learn.

We have an amazing support staff team that has been hand picked over the past decade, all with extensive ER experience and having worked in a multitude of ERs. The staff will not only be supportive but a great resource for a candidate to learn from.

The Medical Director has extensive back ground in training veterinarians, previously being at a large ER, where they routinely trained veterinarians, including new graduates and would love the opportunity to help a candidate start their career in emergency medicine. The MD can provide references for previous trainees if needed.

VEHM will have a fun loving yet organized and medically progressive atmosphere with no corporate oversight. We hope to add to our family and think a new graduate starting right at the opening of a hospital provides a unique opportunity. We are looking for a hard working, motivated, personable, common sense focused individual that wishes to put in the work to succeed in the field. An individual should be able to communicate well with others so that relationships can be forged with staff and clients alike. If a candidate can provide those qualities we can provide the guidance/mentorship and experience to succeed. We are searching for one candidate to hire in a paid trainee/mini-internship role with complete oversight before being progressed to an autonomous doctor. We expect this to be a 3-6 month training period in which the candidate should transition from shadowing, to seeing cases with the MD, to minimal oversight of their cases. During this time we will work to help the candidate to become proficient and confident in all sectors of emergency medicine along with client and staff communications. The candidate will also have opportunities to work at sister hospitals to gain additional experience, including working at one of the largest referral hospitals in DFW. The faster an individual progresses to being autonomous, the faster they will be promoted to a full associate position along with the included competitive salary and benefits package which can be discussed in more detail.

Practice Name - Hope Veterinary Clinic P.A.

City - Amarillo

State - Texas

Contact Person - Sarah Faulkner

Phone - 806-353-5566

Fax - 806-353-3570

Email - sarahhopefaulkner@yahoo.com

Job Description

Hope Veterinary Clinic was built by Dr, David Faulkner in 1981 after graduating from the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine. As a new veterinarian, he served the Texas Panhandle as a mixed animal practitioner but when the companion animal boom of the early 90's increased his small animal practice, he chose to focus on it and slowly phased out of his large animal practice. A complete remodel of the clinic was completed in 1997 and Dr. Faulkner keeps the clinic stocked with the latest in equipment and pharmacy medicine and products.

In 2019, Dr. Ryan McKnight joined Hope Veterinary Clinic as an Associate Veterinarian. Dr. McKnight was born and raised in Amarillo, TX, worked for Hope Veterinary Clinic while attending Tascosa High School and WTAMU. He was admitted into the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019. He and his wife, Emilee, live in Amarillo with young Annaleise, their fabulous 1-year old daughter. Dr. McKnight will become a full partner in Hope Veterinary Clinic in the very near future and is the perfect fit to the hard working team.

Today Hope Veterinary Clinic employees 17 staff and personnel. All positions have reciprocals, so understaffing is a rare problem. The staff works in two shifts and are highly skilled in attending the patient's needs as well as following doctor's orders and supporting them in exam rooms, surgery, and hospital cases. Hope Veterinary Clinic is very proud of their staff and how hard each works in this busy practice.

A remodel and additional 2,800 square foot will begin by January 2021. This will bring the clinic to just under 7,000 square foot. We do not focus on boarding or grooming so all of the space is medicine and clientele oriented.

Hope Veterinary Clinic has been voted "Best Veterinarian" in Amarillo for 10 years in a row. Last year, DVM magazine listed, through an independent study, the #4 clinic in the United States! We took this as an esteemed acknowledgement and this became our impetus to bring about the addition and remodel to become an AAHA-accredited practice.

We are actively seeking a third Associate, one who is passionate and caring as the assembled team at Hope Veterinary Clinic. Please read the proposed offer below. We would be happy to visit with you on any level about the practice, the offer on our vision for the future. Beyond an initial conversation, should a serious candidate like to fly or drive into Amarillo, we would cover your travel and hotel costs, as well as a $100 per day stipend for each day traveling and while you are here.

Below are two bullet point lists. The first contains many of the high points of our practice and are in no particular order. The second is the job offer. The actual contact, of course, is not printed but could be provided for confidential consideration.

Maintaining excellent staff and first-rate building and content Spending money annually on new equipment Encouraging each Associate to become more skilled in the area he or she wants to pursue (I.E. advanced orthopaedics, acupuncture, advanced soft tissue surgeries, advanced dental) Patient care Client education Active social media, informative posts, and website Support of many local shelters and rescues Affordable medicine and surgeries - supporting the importance of annual care and preventative medicine.

Clinic addition will include rooms and areas for grievance, imaging, dental, cats, criticals, contagious, surgery wing, laundry, staff break room. These will compliment the existing spacious building but will individualize areas to function more efficiently.

Offer:

Annual salary begins at $100,000.00

Annual raise of 3%-5%, discretionary to partners but minimum at 3% Opportunity to buy into clinic, percentage could vary and is negotiable 401k Major medical paid Dues, licensing, and 2 memberships paid Professional liability must be paid by you Magazine subscriptions paid Summer and Christmas bonuses CE stipend $1,000.00, annually Moving stipend $1,000.00 Signing bonus, held in escrow until practicing, of $2,500.00

21 days vacations (terms described in contract) (CE days do not count) Vacation days not eligible until 90 days of beginning practice Rotation of holidays with other doctors Rotation of Saturdays Monogrammed scrubs provided
