Cherie Pucheu-Haston, DVM (LSU SVM 1992), PhD, DACVD
Associate Professor of Veterinary Dermatology
Dr. Pucheu-Haston is a veterinary dermatologist and a faculty member at LSU in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. Her veterinary degree (1992) and internship training (1993) were completed at LSU. She completed residency training in veterinary dermatology at North Carolina State University and achieved board certification in Veterinary Dermatology in 1995. After working as a specialist in private practice for seven years, she earned a PhD in Immunology (minor Biotechnology) from NCSU in 2006. After serving as a postdoctoral research associate in the Immunotoxicology Branch of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Dr. Pucheu-Haston returned to LSU in 2011 as a faculty member..
Sara Joyner Ramos, DVM (LSU SVM 2015)
Dr. Ramos received her DVM from Louisiana State University in 2015. She completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Georgia in 2016. She completed her dermatology internship at LSU in 2017 and is currently a dermatology resident at LSU.
Shannon Dehghanpir, DVM (LSU SVM 2013), DACVP
Assistant Professor of Veterinary Clinical Pathology
Dr. Dehghanpir received her DVM from Louisiana State University in 2013. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania. She returned to LSU for a combined clinical pathology residency and Master's degree. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathology and joined LSU as an Assistant Professor in 2017.
Courtney Nelson, DVM, MS, DACVP
Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology
Dr. Nelson joined the LSU SVM Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences as an assistant professor in August 2019. She received her BS from Iowa State in 2012 and her DVM and MS from the University of Missouri, in 2016 and 2019, respectively. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
Jude Bordelon, DVM (LSU SVM 2002), MS, DACVS
Associate Professor of Companion Animal Surgery
Dr. Bordelon received his BS in 1998 and his DVM in 2002, both from LSU. He went on to receive an MS from Oklahoma State in 2010. Dr. Bordelon is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He joined the faculty of the LSU SVM Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences in July 2018.
Chi-Yen Wu, DVM
Dr. Wu received his DVM from National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2015. He completed a small animal rotating internship at NTU in 2017. He is currently a dermatology intern at Louisiana State University.
