Job Description: Hello there Class of 2022!

I am Robert Craig DVM owner of Pineville Pet Hospital in Pineville, Louisiana. This is where I was born and raised and I have been in practice here at this location since 1995.

We are an exclusive small animal practice that has a focus on quality medicine with a full supporting cast of equipment. The four doctors here have the following equipment to help with our diagnostic workups:

Digital Radiology  (currently CR but will likely be switched over to DR by the time you arrive this June) Fully  digital Dental radiograph unit (Midmark self contained with latest high end laptop included) Midmark Dental unit with dental cleaning and high speed handsets Full Idexx Lab setup with all available testing (except for snapshot) Muiti-station AviMark software throughout ( we could argue if that's a pro or a con some days!) Electrosurgical unit Midmark's Latest full multi-parameter anesthesia monitor (including the optional all important end-tidal CO2 module for increased safety.) Tonopen for checking interocular pressures Stainless steel lift tables in all exam rooms with built in scales for added convenience

Our latest addition and front area remodel ,just completed, gives us added exam rooms, additional front office space,(offices, etc.) a comfort/visitation room with associated ambience and private exit and a very unique drive thru for prescription pickup that is a first for our area. We think will be a big hit as we move forward.

Currently our doctors are all LSU graduates with ~ 75 years experience among us from myself in 1990 through our most recent and wonderful associate addition in 2021.

We are a hard working practice that try's our best to do right by each patient within the given constraints provided to us  and we try to have as much fun as possible in the process. We have been called out for being in the "Bermuda Triangle of veterinary medicine" due to the amazingly wide range of cases that pass through our busy doors and I personally take that as a compliment.. I cant promise you complacency but i will promise you an amazing exposure to a wide range of small animal cases that will bring you up to full small animal practice speed if you give us a chance. I know you all have options but if you want to practice quality medicine with freedom to have as much help or as little as you may need please consider reaching out to me.

You are welcome to come visit  with and meet all the other doctors as well as the supporting staff at your convenience as well.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read over this.. I know salary isn't everything but its an important part of life. If you give us a chance I feel that we will be able to be very competitive especially if you compare salary vs the cost of living in larger cities, etc.

    Phone: 3184462276

    Fax: 3184499636

    Email: ROBERTCRAIGDVM@GMAIL.COM

    Job Description: Hello There!

I am Dr Robert Craig owner of Pineville Pet Hospital, inc. I am a 1990 Grad of LSU-SVM (and I am sure anyone looking at this ad will think of me as an old Geezer..lol) but we do have what I consider to be a progressive small animal practice here in Central Louisiana. We are currently a four doctor practice with three busy doctors..therefore this ad.

A quick listing of what the practice has for you to work with.

    • Three very seasoned veterinarians on staff to assist your professional growth...if wanted or needed.
    • full service Idexx Lab system used heavily for daily diagnostics -Fugi CR digital x-ray(may go DR soon but the image quality is so good I have been in no rush) -high quality Sonoscape S9 touchscreen ultrasound with three probes; micro-convex,10 mhz linear ,and cardiac phased array(the 10 mhz doesn't go too deep but has the best image I have ever seen)
    • New Isoflourane anesthesia unit with the lastest MidMark full suite of multi-parameter monitoring including temperature, ekg, pulse oximetry, blood pressure and capnography(this is my most trusted parameter to monitor closely) -currently a 4 exam room practice but nearing completion of an expansion with two additional exam rooms and a comfort room for hospitalized visitations and end of life management, as well as additional retail space and doctors private offices.

    Reasons to consider us personally:

    • Great atmosphere with very easy going professional group that is comfortable with you doing things "your way" and practicing medicine the way you want to as long as the attitude and end results are good.
    • Much lower cost of living relative to most "Big City',or beach town, resort type environments -Amazing number of public accessible lakes, rivers, parks and National Forrest  for your outdoor activity needs.
    • Very negotiable salary compensation ( seasoned vets feel free to call as well!), paid health coverage, vacation,Simple IRA included.

We need at least one full time doctor but would love to have one doctor three to four days a week to cover off days by other professional staff as well!

Looking for that "right" first time job or you feel a bit stuck in a situation and would consider a change in, workplace environment,  location environment, or just different schedule/hours options...consider us!

One more thing to note....we are in a great location but our facility looks a bit dated to the mid nineties when it was first built. We have added on in the rear about a decade back but we have just finished moving the adjacent home off property owned by the practice and have greatly expanded parking both front and rear ,with a drive thru access as well. the entire front of the practice will be getting a new look exterior as the expansion finishes up this Summer and we really think we will have a very modernized look fitting the quality medicine practiced within.

Thanks so much for considering us.

Please contact me at the office: 318.449.4738,on my cell at 318.446.2276 or via my personal email at robertcraigdvm@gmail.com

Be assured that its okay to just "go fish" even if you may stay where you are as any correspondence whatsoever will be held in my most strict confidence.

I am seeking a full time veterinarian, preferably with experience, to join our practice.

We have been 80 % SA and 20 % LA up until my husband's death. Currently we are 95% SA and 5% LA.  Our newest associate wants to expand her knowledge to practice SA and LA. I am sending her to a friend of Jim's who is a mixed practitioner in New Mexico since all the wet labs are closed due to COVID.  My son , Dr. Christopher Rumore is strictly a SA practitioner. Currently, we have two veterinarians.

We welcome any applicants with experience in both SA and LA.  That would be a plus since we are in a small town surrounded by agriculture.

I would appreciate it if you would contact anyone who might be interested in applying for the position.

Please have them send their resume to: Nancy Rumore at aamcvets@gmail.com .
