Job Description: Looking for room to stretch and grow? Come join us at Jumper Creek Veterinary Clinic. We are a growing small animal clinic looking for an enthusiastic veterinarian to join our team. Dr. Yates opened the clinic in 1992 and we have become well established serving Sumter, Lake, Marion, Citrus, and Hernando Counties.

While we are a general practice, we do see a diverse range of medical and surgical cases. There are several emergency clinics about 45-60 minutes away, however, we try to accommodate the community by allowing a certain amount of walk-ins while not trying to overload the staff. These things allow our doctors the opportunity to grow and gain experience in any area of interest. Being that our veterinary clinic is in a rural area, the options for animal care are limited compared to ab urban or city location. We enjoy mentoring and working as a team collaborating on cases, so we encourage both new grads and veterinarians at any experience level to apply.

Some of our in-house diagnostic and treatment equipment includes all new bloodwork machines, brand new ultrasound, digital radiography, dental radiography, therapeutic laser, brand new radio-cautery surgery unit. Our practice has the diagnostic tools, staff, and desire to help our patients live long, happy, healthy lives. This is a tough line of work with many obstacles. We do our best to keep our staff happy mentally, emotionally and physically. We currently employee 9 technicians, 2 receptionists, two full-time doctors, one part-time, two relief and a practice manager. Feel free to look at our website to see the staff.

Benefits include 100% paid health insurance, paid time off, employee discounts, CE allowance, relocation assistance. Your salary will be based on experience. We will also pay for you to come out and visit the clinic. If you wish to talk to someone before applying feel free to call the clinic at (352) 568-1333, Ext 3. Thank you!
