Aquiles Parodi
Mar Profundo
Through this battlefield of death and sorrow,
Of fallen friends and fallacies burrowed,
Run with nothing but spirit and soul,
Run reckless despaired from evil and foul.
Journey mighty through cobbles and stones,
Journey through deserts of solace and bones,
Travel true in deep oceans and high seas,
Travel swift in low waters without peace,
Trek the darkness that devours and deceives,
Trek in the light we’re all free to receive,
Exceed dark caves that are nothing but graves,
Hike over the mountains that seem too brave,
Wander in forests of calm solitude,
Wander not through marshes of the cold crude,
Rush through bombardments that blast heavy blows,
Rush freely in days that remove your woes,
March with comrades that stick on your back,
March with them side-by-side in front-line attack,
March through your fears of all that is blurry,
March to the song of certain victory,
And when you’re walking the dark road,
Walking through this night alone,
Do not look back to the time long gone,
Charge forward through this madness,
Charge always forward through this mess.
