Yes, it is within a student's rights to submit an appeal for an exception to a University or college policy. Please review the University Regulations section of the General Catalog to review common appeals and processes. Please know, just because a student submits an appeal does not guarantee that the request will be approved. Please review the Student Responsibility on the General Catalog. If a student is requesting to appeal a college policy, it is recommended that they meet with a College of Science academic advisor prior to completing the appeals process.
Prospective Students (High school or Transfer)
Students can review the LSU Tiger Transfer Tables. This list reflects courses that have been previously evaluated by faculty at LSU for transfer equivalency. It is intended as a resource for students, but it is not a comprehensive list of all colleges or transferable courses. For more answers on transferring to LSU, please review the LSU Transfer Student Admission website.
We would love to meet you! Schedule a campus tour by visiting the LSU Undergraduate Admission website. Once your campus tour is set, you can schedule a major specific tour with our College of Science student ambassadors.
Once you have been accepted to LSU and confirmed all transcripts have been received, incoming transfer students must register for orientation. Once registered for orientation, you can make an advising appointment with an academic counselor in our office if you have declared a major within the College of Science. You can review the LSU General Catalog for a complete list of our majors, concentrations, and admission requirements.
