Faculty and Staff Now Eligible for Vaccine
Friday, March17, 2021; 8:35 a.m.
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Gov. John Bel Edwards announced yesterday that beginning Monday, March 22, he is expanding the vaccine eligibility tiers to include all university faculty and staff. This is great news for LSU employees, and we will let you know as soon as the state provides us with an allotment of vaccines.
Meanwhile, since all LSU employees are now eligible, you don’t have to wait until LSU receives the vaccines here on campus; you may schedule an appointment at any of the designated vaccine locations in Baton Rouge or across the state. Visit ldh.la.gov/covidvaccine-locations/ to see the locations and set up an appointment.
Once you receive the vaccine, whether at LSU or elsewhere, please let us know by completing the vaccination survey.
Thank you for your patience – not only throughout this vaccination process – but also during the past year as we have dealt with this unprecedented situation. Your cooperation, your flexibility, and your commitment to LSU and to our students have truly been an inspiration.
