Students, Faculty and Staff,
This semester has been a trying experience for students, faculty and staff. As the pandemic has dragged on, the campus community has demonstrated the tremendous resilience and discipline needed to carry on with our mission. As we prepare to break for Thanksgiving and for a successful end to the semester, we are pleased to share news of some relief for students. On the recommendation of the faculty, ‘W’ grades students earn in courses for the fall 2020 semester, including those awarded prior to this announcement, will not count towards the usual limited allotment afforded to students. This will not take effect until Monday, November 30th due to the time needed to program the student system. The last day to drop a class with a grade of ‘W’ was previously moved to Friday, December 4th at 4:30 p.m., and this deadline still applies.
LSU Online students should contact their Learner Concierge with any questions regarding this policy update, as different deadline dates apply to our fully online programs.
This update does not pertain to students in the Law School, or School of Veterinary Medicine.
