Make-up Class Days: 10/17 & 11/7
Due to classes being cancelled several times this fall because of hurricanes and tropical storms, the university will hold two make-up class days in order to ensure that the fall semester meets the minimum number of required class days. The make-up days will be held on two Saturdays: Oct. 17 and Nov. 7. Faculty will decide whether they want to hold these make-up classes virtually or in-person, and will let their students know.
Saturday, Oct. 17, will be a Monday class make-up day, and Saturday, Nov. 7, will be a Wednesday class make-up day.
Because of these two additional class days, the last day to drop a class will be moved from Friday, Nov. 6, to Monday, Nov. 9.
(The changes listed in this message do not apply to students at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, which operates on a separate academic calendar. The Law Center will contact its students directly about any make-up classes. These changes also do not apply to LSU Online fully online degree and certificate programs that are structured in 7-week classes.)
Students who have unavoidable conflicts on these Saturdays should contact their professors as soon as possible. Professors may require documentation for missing the make-up days, and students who need guidance on getting appropriate documentation should contact Student Advocacy and Accountability (Tracy Blanchard, Tblanch@lsu.edu or Alyssa Jacobs, Anzalone1@lsu.edu).
