Upward Bound
Eligibility & Admission
1. You must meet the following requirements:
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
- Completed 8th grade and are between the ages of 13 and 19 at the time of admission
- You are currently enrolled, or will enroll, in a local area high school within East Baton Rouge Parish
- Demonstrate a need for academic support and want to pursue a college degree
- First-generation college-bound student (parent or guardian did not graduate with a four-year degree) or from a low-income household according to these guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Education:

* The term "low-income individual" means an individual whose family's taxable income
