Institutional Effectiveness Review Board


LSU is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service and to processes that ensure institutional effectiveness in achieving that excellence. The Institutional Effectiveness Review Board (IERB) provides essentials coordination of accreditation, assessment, and planning activities. The IERB is charged with the following:

  1. monitoring accreditation status for the institution and academic programs;
  2. evaluating campus-wide framework for assessment, evaluation, and planning; and
  3. providing feedback to the president and the executive vice president and provost concerning institutional processes on campus.

The IERB shall be composed of the following:

  • Faculty Senate Executive Committee Representative
  • University Planning Representative
  • General Education Committee Representative
  • Graduate School Representative
  • Student Life Representative
  • Academic Representative
  • Academic Representative
  • Information Technology Representative
  • Institutional Research Representative
  • Assessment Representative
  • Academic Affairs Representative (ex-officio)
