Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of the University Recreational Complex
BATON ROUGE – Media are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration of the LSU UREC expansion and renovation project on Friday, Sept. 8, at 4 p.m.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at the main entrance of the UREC. The program is scheduled to include LSU President F. King Alexander, Vice President of Student Affairs Kurt Keppler, UREC Executive Director Laurie Braden and Student Body President Jason Badeaux.
This historic ribbon cutting will be followed by an evening of special events, food, prizes, inflatables, T-shirts and a DJ in the new UREC facility. Admission is open to LSU students and UREC members.
Members of the media should check in at the main desk of the UREC. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, UREC officials will tour the media around the renovated facility for photos or video. Media should meet at the main desk starting around 4:45 p.m. for the tour.
