Gov. Edwards to Help Cut Ribbon on Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool on Oct. 20

BATON ROUGE – LSU will celebrate the “launch” of the Early Childhood Education, or ECE, Laboratory Preschool with a ribbon cutting ceremony 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20. Gov. John Bel Edwards will speak to the attendees and help LSU cut the ribbon on the newly renovated facility.

The facility, located at 4001 Gourrier Lane, boasts 35 staff members and 175 children (aged 6 weeks to 4 years old). Aligned with LSU’s College of Human Sciences & Education, the ECE Lab Preschool serves as a laboratory for the generation of cutting-edge research in the areas of child development and education. It also serves as a training site for undergraduate and graduate students as a model demonstration site within the community, the state of Louisiana and beyond.
