Songfest

In the spirit of competition, the Greek community has been holding Songfest for 96 years.

Songfest originally began as a men’s singing competition.  Through the years, it evolved into a choreographed dance competition among LSU’s fraternities and sororities, as well as the primary fundraising event for GBOD.

Chapters are randomly paired to create 11 ensemble groups.  Each group performs a choreographed dance routine for five judges.  The judges’ scores are combined with three bonus point opportunities: T-shirt sales, ticket sales and a banner competition.  The highest point totals determine First, Second, and Third place winners.  There is also recognition for judges’ awards, including Best Male Performance, Best Costume, and Crowd Appeal.

The 2019 event took place on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in the Raising Cane's River Center. We congratulate all winners and greatly appreciate all participants and supporters of the event!
