The success and wellness of our students is a priority for LSU. Resources and services are available to support your cognitive, personal, professional, and academic development. 

GoGrad’s guide assists students in choosing between the Thesis or Non-thesis option Master’s Degree.

There are a variety of safe options for parking, transportation, and housing near and around campus.

In addition to textbooks, students can find a wide variety of books, apparel, gifts and accessories, supplies, and electronics at the Barnes & Noble. A Starbucks café is located on the first floor.

LSU offers a variety of meal plans & dining options.

LSU Police is dedicated to providing a safe environment for students, faculty, and staff 

If you are experiencing an especially difficult or confidential conflict (for example, conflict with a dissertation advisor or other faculty member) with your department and you wish to go outside the department for advice and conflict resolution, LSU provides a free service, the Office of the Ombudsperson, to assist in finding a resolution.

LSU’s campus, as well as the wider Baton Rouge area, has a thriving arts, theater, and sporting community. Check out some of the resources below to find local events of interest.

Used as your student ID. This card can be loaded with Tiger Cash and is used for printing as well as vending machines and dining areas throughout campus
Offers financial literary education to LSU students through workshops, events, and online resources
Has a convenient branch located right on campus in the Student Union
Allows you to print an enrollment certificate, a good student discount certificate (if your auto insurer or other providers offers such a discount), and view student loan deferment notifications
Cox Communications offers LSU students the option for signing up. This program offers 28% off Cox internet services and a free professional installation. Note that you must reapply every 24 months to verify your continued enrollment as a student

Provides medical, mental health, and wellness resources to students. Some services are provided at no cost to full-time students, and you do not need to have LSU student health insurance to use the SHC.
All full-time and part-time students registered for resident study, excluding Continuing Education participants, are eligible to purchase the plan for themselves and their dependents. For more information about health insurance plans, the enrollment process, or eligibility, please visit the Student Health Center.
Offers indoor and outdoor workout equipment along with group fitness classes and equipment rentals.
Provides assistance to graduate students in need of food assistance at no cost. You can also bring donations of non-perishable goods.

An online reporting system to express concerns about student in crisis, sexual misconduct, hazing, discrimination, potential violations of the LSU Code of Student Conduct, and express complaints and grievances. The CARE approach includes communication, assessment, referrals, and education to offer a response.

Crisis Intervention Center The Crisis Intervention Center offers support through chat, phone, and text.
The Lighthouse Program The Lighthouse Program provides interpersonal violence prevention, advocacy, and support to the campus community including assistance for filing a police report, a university judicial report, obtaining mental and physical health care, safe housing, and more.
Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response (STAR) STAR provides a 24/7 hotline and multiple services to support survivors. Offices are located in both Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
Title IX and Sexual Misconduct Human Resource Management provides definitions, resources, contact information, and more related to Title IX violations and sexual misconduct.

Print from a campus computer, laptop, or mobile device.

Students are able to access software that is installed in the computer labs on campus using the Virtual Lab.

The Faculty Technology Center offers many resources for faculty and graduate teaching assistants geared toward incorporating technology into teaching, learning, and research. Software consulting and technical training services are also available. 

LSU IT Services provides technology infrastructure and services that advance teaching and learning and enable resources. They also manage the GROK, a massive wiki of technology information. 

A wide variety of software is made available for students to download free of charge on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems through Tigerware. There are also links to discounted software and hardware.
