In addition to textbooks, students can find a wide variety of books, apparel, gifts and accessories, supplies, and electronics at the Barnes & Noble. A Starbucks café is located on the first floor.

If you are experiencing an especially difficult or confidential conflict (for example, conflict with a dissertation advisor or other faculty member) with your department and you wish to go outside the department for advice and conflict resolution, LSU provides a free service, the Office of the Ombudsperson, to assist in finding a resolution.

An online reporting system to express concerns about student in crisis, sexual misconduct, hazing, discrimination, potential violations of the LSU Code of Student Conduct, and express complaints and grievances. The CARE approach includes communication, assessment, referrals, and education to offer a response.
Additionally, there are multiple crisis and assault resources available to the LSU community. A partial list is below:
|Crisis Intervention Center||The Crisis Intervention Center offers support through chat, phone, and text.|
|The Lighthouse Program||The Lighthouse Program provides interpersonal violence prevention, advocacy, and support to the campus community including assistance for filing a police report, a university judicial report, obtaining mental and physical health care, safe housing, and more.|
|Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response (STAR)||STAR provides a 24/7 hotline and multiple services to support survivors. Offices are located in both Baton Rouge and New Orleans.|
|Title IX and Sexual Misconduct||Human Resource Management provides definitions, resources, contact information, and more related to Title IX violations and sexual misconduct.|

Students are able to access software that is installed in the computer labs on campus using the Virtual Lab.
The Faculty Technology Center offers many resources for faculty and graduate teaching assistants geared toward incorporating technology into teaching, learning, and research. Software consulting and technical training services are also available.
A wide variety of software is made available for students to download free of charge on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems through Tigerware. There are also links to discounted software and hardware.
