PM-11: Outside Employment

Permanent Memorandum 11 is the policy that governs outside employment by LSU employees, and the methods by which they disclose such employment for administrative review and approval. This policy covers all full-time employees, including faculty, and other academic, classified, and unclassified staff. Employees are covered throughout the year, including regular and summer terms and while on paid or unpaid leave.

The policy covers direct employment with any non-university employer, contracts for consulting or other professional services, and any self-employment or operation of a business.
