UREC Guest Passes
During LSU Family Weekend, LSU UREC is offering $5 day passes to family members of UREC members. This day pass is good for the main UREC facility and for the new UREC @ Nicholson facility. Family member must be sponsored by a current LSU UREC member and have a government issued photo ID with them when they arrive. For any questions about LSU UREC Guest passes, please visit LSU UREC's website.

College of Agriculture Alumni Speaker Series

Each month the Agriculture Student Association and the College of Agriculture host an alumni speaker. The speakers present on their experiences after graduating from LSU and give career advice for current students. The September alumni speaker is Fran DeVille, Climate Business Manager, The Climate Corporation. The lecture will start at 11:30 am and will include a light lunch. Anyone wishing to attend should e-mail Amanda L. Martin at amartin2@lsu.edu by September 13th.

Nicholson Gateway Open House

Come experience the newest campus hub and some of the best views in Baton Rouge at Nicholson Gateway. Located on Nicholson Drive between Skip Bertman Drive and West Chimes Street, this new LSU mixed use community houses 1,500 upperclassmen in new apartments and features Matherne’s Market Grocery, Wendy’s, Starbucks, Frutta Bowl, an apparel store and more.

Family Weekend Silent Auction

Support the LSU Student Affairs Emergency Support Fund by participating in the Family Weekend Silent Auction. 100% of proceeds will go directly to LSU students who need financial assistance in emergency situations. Bidding will be open from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday only.

The wellbeing of our students is important to us. Exercise and healthy eating habits have a positive impact on our students’ emotional, physical and even academic wellbeing. So, what better way to boost your overall wellbeing than with an afternoon of yoga.

Join the College of Science faculty, staff, and students for yoga followed by a Smart Snacks Reception with healthy snack options. All current College of Science students, faculty, staff, and families participating in LSU Family Weekend are welcome to attend. 

Note: We will have a limited number yoga mats available. If able, please bring your own yoga mat.

Dinner will be served continuously throughout the evening, so please arrive at your convenience.

Bash on the Bayou

4-H Mini Farm
Join the LSU College of Agriculture and the Ag Alumni Association for the "Bash on the Bayou" — a tailgate event as the Tigers take on LA Tech. Enjoy an afternoon on campus with a Louisiana tailgate, recruitment presentations, Ag Olympics, tours and more! The cost is $5 in advance and $10 at the gate. Family Weekend Tailgate

Tailgating is an LSU Tradition! Join us for a pre-game buffet and tailgate festivities, featuring music from the Rusty Yates Band, a photo booth, face painting, and more! Sign up for the corn hole tournament during the tailgate to win an awesome prize. Look for our white tents, Family Weekend flags, and balloons.

Pre-Kickoff Cool Down Zone at Nicholson Gateway Apartments (Canal Hall)

After you tailgate, come cool off in the A/C before kickoff! Canal Hall in Nicholson Gateway Apartments will be open with water, giveaways, and a picturesque photo op looking into Tiger Stadium.

On your way to the game, stop by and the Tiger Tailgate Party sponsored by Peoples Health and check out performances by the LSU Cheerleaders (3:00 p.m.) and the Golden Band from Tigerland (4:20 p.m.). Family Weekend nametag REQUIRED to attend, and all families should enter the party at either the South West ramp (closest to Mike the Tiger’s habitat).
