Graduate Minor in Mechanical Engineering
If you are a Ph.D. candidate in another doctoral program who wishes to select Mechanical Engineering as a minor area you must:
- Take at least 9 hours of any ME courses acceptable for graduate credit in ME and be approved by your Advisory Committee.
- Take at least 3 hours of 7000-level ME courses.
- Obtain a “C” or better and achieve an overall average of 3.0 or better in these courses.
- Have a Mechanical Engineering faculty member on your Ph.D. Advisory Committee who may administer written and/or oral examinations as part of the General Examination.
