COVID-19 Testing Results

New cases will be posted once a day, by 4:30 p.m., including Saturdays and Sundays, and will indicate the date they were posted or updated. Each new entry will include as much information as possible to address public health concerns, in accordance with student and employee confidentiality laws. These statistics may not precisely match cases reported by other agencies. LSU will not disclose the identity of individuals voluntarily providing information for this site. Only positive test results voluntarily disclosed to LSU will be reported. Individuals who report positive test results will be expected to isolate themselves, and to provide notice to anyone exposed to them within federal and state guidelines. This information only pertains to the LSU Baton Rouge flagship campus. If you are a member of the LSU community and your health provider has confirmed or suspects that you have COVID-19, and you would like to report these findings to LSU, please send an email to reportcovid@lsu.edu.

Information on Positive Results

  • An employee was notified of a positive test on May 28. The employee was last on campus May 25. The employee was wearing a mask when within 6' of others. The employee is recovering at home. Those who were known to have been in close contact with the employee have been notified.

  • An employee was notified of a positive test on May 7. The employee was last on campus May 3 and began showing symptoms on May 3. The employee is recovering at home. Those who were known to have been in close contact with the employee have been notified.

  • An employee was notified of a positive test on April 1. The employee was last on campus on campus March 23 and began showing symptoms on March 30. The employee is recovering at home.
  • An employee was notified of a positive test on April 7. The employee was last on campus March 23 and began showing symptoms on April 2. The employee is recovering at home.
  • An employee was notified of a positive test on April 15. The employee was last on campus April 12. Those in close contact have been notified and the area disinfected. The employee is recovering at home.
  • A student was notified of a positive test on April 4. Symptoms began the week before campus closed. The student lives off-campus. The student is recovering at home.
  • An employee was notified of a positive test on April 5. The employee was last on campus March 19 and began showing symptoms on March 20. The employee is recovering at home.

  • An employee was notified of a positive test on April 6. The employee was last on campus on campus March 26. The employee is recovering at home.

  • An employee was notified of a positive test on April 2. The employee was last on campus March 19. The employee is recovering at home.

  • An employee was notified of a positive test on March 30. The employee was last on campus March 19. The employee is recovering at home.

  • An employee was notified of a positive test on April 4. The employee was last on campus March 18. The employee is recovering at home in isolation.

  • A student was notified of a positive test on April 3. The student was last on campus March 17. The student lives off-campus and has been recovering at home.

  • A student has informed the university that they have tested positive for the virus. The student is currently living at home (off-campus) and recovering in isolation.

  • A staff member was notified of a positive test on March 30. The staff member was last on campus March 18 and started to show symptoms on March 21. The staff member is feeling better and is still in self-isolation at home in another parish. 
  • A Law student was notified of a positive test on March 30. The student was last in classes March 16 and started to show symptoms on March 21. The student does not live in on-campus housing and is recovering in self-isolation.
  • A student has informed the university that they have tested positive for the virus. The student lived in the Greek community on campus. The student was last on campus March 10. The student is currently living at home and recovering in isolation.

  • A Law student has informed the university that they have tested positive for the virus. The student was last in classes March 13 and was then on campus briefly to retrieve belongings on March 17. The student does not live in on-campus housing and has recovered in self-isolation at home in another city. Those persons who were known to have been in close contact with this student have been notified.
  • A staff member has informed the university that they have tested positive for the virus. The staff member was last on campus March 17 and did not show symptoms until March 18. The staff member is currently at home and recovering in isolation; all who worked in the same office have been notified.

A student has informed the university that they have tested positive for the virus. The student lived in the Greek community on campus. The student is currently living at home and recovering in isolation. Those who are known to have been in close contact with this student have been notified.

LSU Student Health Center confirmed a Law student has tested positive for the virus. The student was last on campus March 13. The student does not live in on-campus housing and is currently in self-isolation. Those who are known to have been in close contact with this law student are being notified as well as the larger Law Center community.

Graduate student taking online courses. The student was last on campus March 7. Student had an on-campus job and all who worked in the same office have been asked to monitor themselves for symptoms.
