Parking on campus for graduation is available in all student and staff lots at no charge and with no permits required. Graduates, families, and friends may park in any ungated lot or in any unmarked, unpainted, or unreserved space along any street on campus. Graduates and their guests should plan to arrive early to avoid traffic delays.
Those with disability license plates/placards/or State issued disability IDs will be allowed to park in designated areas close to the PMAC and the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse. The lots identified in the map below are the Sand Beach Volleyball Lot (Event Lot 206), which is on the eastside of the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse, and the W. Stadium Lot (Event Lot 101), which is located south of the PMAC on the west side of Tiger Stadium.
Bus service will be available the day of commencement and will be following the “Holiday/Summer” schedule for each route. Visit the LSU Tiger Trails website for a complete list of routes and schedules.
Louisiana State University welcomes more than one million visitors every year, and most of those visitors arrive via the interstate system. The directions below offer the easiest routes to the campus from the interstate. We recommend that you visit the Visitor Information Center to obtain detailed campus directions and parking instructions.
The LSU Visitors Information Center is located at the corner of Highland Road and Dalrymple Drive.
From Interstate 10
|Route 1:||Exit at Nicholson Dr./Highland Rd. (Exit 155A). Take Highland Rd. to Dalrymple Dr. (about 1.4 miles).|
Exit at Dalrymple Dr. (Exit 156B).
Both eastbound and westbound traffic will take a right onto Dalrymple Dr. from the off-ramp.
Take Dalrymple Dr. to Highland Rd. (about 0.5 mile).
Exit at Acadian Thruway (Exit 157B).
If exiting from the eastbound off-ramp you will take a right onto Acadian Thruway; if exiting from the westbound off-ramp you will take a left onto Acadian Thruway.
Take Acadian Thruway (which turns into Stanford Avenue and then into LSU Avenue) to Highland Rd.
Take a right onto Highland Rd. Take Highland Rd. to Dalrymple Dr. (about 1.8 miles).
