What have you gained from your position as a consultant in Involvement Krewe?
I have learned so much as a member of the Involvement Krewe. I have gained communication skills through speaking with students and sharing information across campus. Giving presentations about involvement has helped me with speaking in front of larger groups of people. I've also learned time management skills. This experience helped me to effectively prioritize between school, work and extracurriculars.

How has this positioned you for success in the working world?
This position has given me a variety of transferrable skills that employers look for when hiring — leadership, communication, teamwork, and time management. Employers want well rounded and hard-working individuals. By being an inaugural member of Involvement Krewe, I have pushed the envelope by helping start a new generation of leaders within Campus Life and LSU.

What have you gained from your position as a consultant in Involvement Krewe?
Through my time in Involvement Krewe I learned the ins and outs of student organizations and had the opportunity to share that information with students who were trying to start or maintain their own organizations. Being on a campus with so many involved students, it's great to be able to apply what I have learned when my friends have questions. I'm also able to use what I've learned in my own leadership positions with other organizations.

How has this positioned you for success in the working world?
Involvement Krewe gave me the opportunity to practice communicating with so many different types of people. Being able to explain new information to someone can be more difficult than you'd think, but after meeting with so many people it becomes much easier. Communication skills are so important in any career field!
