More than 5,800 new freshmen enrolled at LSU this fall, surpassing 2012's record for largest incoming class. The holistically admitted 2018 freshman class enters LSU with an average GPA of 3.5 and an average ACT score of just under 26 — holding steady from last year’s record-breaking academic profile. The students also represent the most diverse freshmen class ever at LSU, as well as the largest in-state and out-of-state class on record.
