Dr. Tara Rose appointed to serve one year as a Senior Fellow at the American Association
for Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) Rose, who currently serves as LSU’s Director of Assessment in the Office of Institutional
Effectiveness, was influential in helping to develop and test a new system-level approach
to assessing student learning using the AAC&U Valid Assessment of Learning in Undergraduate
Education (VALUE) Rubrics via the Multi-State Collaborative to Advance Learning Outcomes

LSU Tiny Tigers: Pregnancy Advocates and Game-Day Lactation Spaces A group of 48 faculty and staff members were trained to become official 'LSU Pregnancy
Advocates' who will provide support and resources to pregnant undergraduate and graduate
students. Lactation spaces are available in the the Union and Tiger Stadium on game

Slaying the Status Quo The Office of Academic Affairs in partnership with the Center for Academic Success
hosted a day-long advising summit for over 100 academic counselors and advisors. The
summit focused on the area of retention and the goals set forth to elevate advising
and the student experience at LSU. Outreach, data assessment, implementing best practices
and supporting advisors with resources and professional development trainings were
