Stephenson Entrepreneurship Scholarship 2019-2020

For students pursuing the entrepreneurship paired degree option:

Purpose

This scholarship opportunity is designed to encourage students to put in the extra time and effort required to complete the entrepreneurship paired degree program (BS/BA first degree + BS Entrepreneurship) at LSU, especially when this time and effort is determined to make market sense. Completion of a second degree in entrepreneurship requires students to earn a minimum of 30 hours beyond what is required for the primary degree. Students can achieve this by:

  • Completing extra coursework during summer semesters and/or intersessions.
  • Earning advanced placement and/or dual enrollment credit while enrolled in high school.
  • Extend their enrollment at LSU beyond four years and complete the additional hours during the fifth year.

For each of these situations, the intent is to provide funding that will defray the costs associated with earning the additional credit required to complete a second degree in entrepreneurship.

Application process

For the fall semester, you may apply for scholarships beginning August 12, 2019. The deadline is September 30.

For the spring semester, you may apply for scholarships beginning February 24, 2020. The deadline is April 15.

Application decisions will generally be made within three weeks of each deadline. To be considered, students must complete the pdf application at the link below, save it, and attach it to an email  and submit directly to entr-scholarship@lsu.edu.
