Internships For Credit

Accounting Internship Program

The LSU Department of Accounting’s internship program offers students the opportunity to receive course credit for internships. Each semester, students apply academic knowledge to real-world situations through positions with local, regional, and national employers. These internships allow students to gain on-the-job experience in the field of accounting and many result in full-time employment.

The program is available in the fall, spring, and summer semesters to students who have been accounting majors for at least one complete semester prior to the internship.

Internal Audit Internship Program

The LSU CIA has a highly successful internship program. Through an internship, students receive on-the-job training which provides valuable learning experiences. Each summer 75-150 students work on internal audit staffs across the country. The internship program has been expanded to include Fall and Spring Internships.

Marketing Internship Program 

The LSU Department of Marketing offers an Internship in Marketing Program. Through this program students are able to earn college credit for a practical work experience. Up to six hours of course credit can be earned. The purpose of the program is to encourage students to pursue a practical work experience where they can apply the concepts and principals they have learned in their marketing courses.

The internship program is open to all students, not just marketing majors. Student must be a junior (or have completed 60 or more credit hours).

Marketing Internship (Professional Sales) Program

The Professional Sales Institute offers a marketing sales internship. Students who wish to gain valuable real-world sales experience can enroll in MKT 4479 Sales Internship. The internship requires departmental approval of the sales content of the internship.
