2017 Kelly School of Business Diversity Competition

On its second visit to the National Diversity Case Competition, the E. J. Ourso College of Business Diversity Diplomats team, Tiger Paw Solutions, finished third among 35 schools, repeating their showing at last year’s event. The LSU team finished only behind the University of Cincinnati and Indiana University, who’s Kelley School of Business hosts the event each year. LSU’s presentation was a strategy to help publicize and market Target’s role in gender-neutral toys. The team members were Carmen Calderon, a sophomore international trade & finance major from Cecilia, Louisiana; Teja Dabney, a junior accounting major from New Orleans; Price, a sophomore marketing major from Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and Irielle Washington, a senior marketing major from New Orleans. TPS took home $3,000 from the $20,000 prize pool. Only the top seven teams placed, with the University of Michigan, University of Washington, Purdue University and the University of Southern California rounding out that group.
