MS Finance/MS Financial Economics Scholarships 

Application process:

To apply for any of the scholarships or assistantships listed below, you must apply and be accepted to the Master of Science in Finance/Master of Science in Financial Economics program.  The LSU Graduate School application deadline is May 15, but for full consideration for scholarships and assistantships, you should apply no later than April 15.  Once you have applied to the MSF/MSFE program, send a letter stating your interest in being considered for a scholarship/assistantship to msfinance@lsu.edu.  Include your resume or curriculum vita with your letter of interest. 

Eligibility:

To be considered for a scholarship, you should have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2 and a GMAT score of at least 620 (a quantitative GRE score of at least 155).  To be considered for an assistantship, you should have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5 and a GMAT score of at least 650.

Lewis Gottlieb Memorial Scholarship Established to support graduate students, and graduate student research in banking and finance. $1,000
Mack Hornbeck Scholarship Established to assist an outstanding graduate student, with expressed financial need, in the fields of banking in finance.    $1,500
Kevin Kelty Superior Finance Graduate Student Scholarship This scholarship is to support the educational and professional goals of an excellent graduate, or first professional degree candidate in finance with a demonstrated financial need.  $2,700
Michael A. Blue Endowed Superior Graduate Student Scholarship Established to support the educational and professional goals of an excellent graduate, or first professional degree candidate pursuing a master’s degree in finance. $2,700
Shawn and Erin Mire Graduate Student Scholarship This scholarship is to support the educational and professional goals of an excellent graduate or 1st professional degree candidate in Finance.  Requires a 3.2 GPA.  Preference is given to support students working the SMART Lab. $2,7000
Lynne and Kit Marye Superior Graduate Scholarship in Finance Established to support the educational and professional goals of an excellent graduate, or first professional degree candidate pursuing a master’s degree in finance. $2,700
Department of Finance General Scholarship Established by Marathon Oil to support the educational goals of a graduate student in finance.  $1,000
J. Clifford Doiron Scholarship A scholarship to support the educational and professional goals of a graduate student interested in real estate finance. $1,000-$3,000
Department of Finance – Stuart Scholarship Established to support the educational and professional goals of a graduate student in finance interested in banking. $1,000-$5,000
Department of Finance – Adamek Scholarship Established to support the educational and professional goals of an excellent graduate, or first professional degree candidate pursuing a master’s degree in finance. $1,000-$5,000
Department of Finance – Adamek Assistantship A full-time assistantship to support the educational goals of exceptionally well-qualified candidates seeking a master’s degree in finance.  The assistantship includes a  tuition waiver. $13,450 stipend
