Union Theater


The LSU Student Union Theater is a newly renovated 1,269 seat proscenium arch theater complete with an orchestra pit. Seating is stadium style with no overhanging balcony, providing great sight lines and sound. The LSU Union Theater is equipped with the Meyers Constellation System, which provides acoustical enhancement for voice and music performances, delivering concert hall quality sound regardless of where you’re seated in the theater.

Doug Varone Ballet Dance Company

Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre kicks off its 2018-19 season with a bang as it hosts New York City-based dance troupe, Doug Varone and Dancers with Baton Rouge native and BRBT alum Whitney Dufrene on Thursday, October 4, 7:00 p.m. in the LSU Student Union Theater. This performance with highly charged, physically exciting choreography spanning multiple genres, will thrill audiences with movement conveying depths of emotion and strong virtuosity. Dance Magazine says, “If this work and these dancers can’t move you, I don’t know what would.”

Tickets are on sale now! LSU Students, faculty, and staff receive a $5 discount with their LSU ID at the box office.

Moscow ballet Great Russian Nutcracker

 The one and only Moscow Ballet returns to the LSU Student Union to perform Great Russian Nutcracker ~ Dove of Peace Touron Thursday, November 8, 7:00 p.m. only. Experience Moscow Ballet’s Dove of Peace Tour, spreading goodwill in over 100 cities across North America this holiday season, and presenting world class performers; Russian folk legends Father Christmas and Snow Maiden, backdrops hand-painted by Russian masters; and a Dove of Peace with a 20 foot wingspan – the Great Russian Nutcracker brings the Christmas spirit to life for all ages. “Kids wide-eyed with delight!” says The New York Times.
