Songfest 2018 will be Sunday, April 22nd in the PMAC

In the spirit of competition, the Greek community has been holding Songfest for 95 years.  Songfest originally began as a men’s singing competition.  Through the years, it evolved into a choreographed dance competition among LSU’s fraternities and sororities, as well as the primary fundraising event for GBOD.

Chapters are randomly paired to create eleven ensemble groups.  Each group performs a choreographed dance routine for five judges.  The judges’ scores are combined with three bonus point opportunities: T-shirt sales, ticket sales and a banner competition.  The highest point totals determine the first, second, and third place winners.  There is also recognition for judges’ awards, including Best Male Performance, Best Costume and Crowd Appeal.
