You want to work to check medicines against possible negative interactions, coordinate with insurance companies, and counsel patients on proper dosage and potential side effects.

Pathway to Pharmacy School

  1. Select your major
    • If you intend to receive a bachelor's degree before pharmacy school, select any major at LSU
    • If not, select "Pre-Pharmacy" as your intended major
  2. Take the necessary pre-requisite courses for your desired pharmacy school (ex: ULM or Xavier)
  3. Maintain a high GPA, especially in science-related coursework (2.75 minimum, 3.5+ recommended)
  4. Prep for and take the PCAT (score higher than 50th percentile recommended)

Bachelor's Degree + Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
