  • Prof. François Raffoul has recently published a translation of Dominique Janicaud's Heidegger in France, an impressive account of the reception of Heidegger's thought in France from 1930–2000. For more information, visit the publisher's website.
  • Prof. Charles Pence will deliver a lecture on the role of the concept of fitness in evolutionary theory in the Mississippi State University Philosophy Department Visiting Speaker Series on November 6, 2015.
  • Prof. Charles Pence received a Manship Summer Research Fellowship from the College of Humanities and Socal Sciences for his work on the evoText Project. This fall, he will be part of an NSF-funded grant for the same project.
  • Charles Bigger passed away at his home on February 15, 2015 at the age of 91. He was Professor at LSU from 1964 until his retirement in 1995, serving as Chairman of the Philosophy Department for 16 years. You may find his obituary here.
