Teaching Philosophies
The teaching philosophy introduces who you are as an instructor. Focus on one or two main ideas. It may be helpful to think about the following questions: Why do you teach? What do you hope to achieve as an instructor? What constitutes academic success in one of your courses? Also remember that the teaching philosophy should be reflected in all that you do—in your syllabus, your choice of materials, your lectures / discussions, assignments, and student assessment.
