Proposal Preparation Services

The Research Facilitation Office will assist with proposal preparation as requested by faculty and staff. Services may include:

  • Serving as a liaison between faculty, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), Sponsored Program Accounting (SPA), the Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) and the Office of Intellectual Property, Commercialization and Development
  • Assist in reviewing and interpreting sponsor’s funding opportunity notifications
  • Prepare and review budget and budget justification
  • Prepare and review current and pending support forms and biographical sketches
  • Assemble proposal packages (grants.gov, fastlane, etc.)
  • Complete and upload appropriate documents into GeauxGrants (Sponsored Program routing system)
  • Create cost sharing letters for departmental approval and documentation
  • Prepare internal proposal routing and approval forms 
  • Monitor new contracts from award notification to account establishment
  • Draft and process requests for tentative account numbers
  • Draft and process award modifications

Please contact our office as soon as possible with requests for support in proposal preparation to allow for sufficient time for assistance. Our office requests that faculty get in touch with us at least 10 days prior to the proposal deadline so we have time to properly route the proposal in GeauxGrants. All proposals must be submitted to OSP via GeauxGrants for approval at least 7 business days prior to submission to the sponsor.
