Since 2000, supported by a $2,5M endowment of LSU alumnus Gordon A. Cain, the Center is led by faculty and staff members drawn from departments across the LSU campus. It serves as a major education research and outreach hub for LSU and provides information and insight to education policy makers. The Center’s programs continue to strengthen Louisiana’s teachers in mathematics and in traditional and emerging science and engineering disciplines. The work of the Center impacts tens of thousands of K-12 students annually, improving their preparation for college and careers in the 21st century.
