Personal Property
Property Crime
Theft is the most prevalent crime on campus. Value your valuables by practicing these great tips:
- Keep door(s) locked at all times.
- Never leave your property unattended. If you are in a common area and must step away, even if it's just for a moment, take your belongings with you.
- Never leave valuable items visible for others to see inside your vehicle.
- Record and store serial numbers of personal electronics (i.e. mobile phones, gaming console, laptop, iPads, etc.). Use this personal property inventory list form to assist you. Keep this form in a safe place so that you may provide this information to LSU Police in the event that an item is lost or stolen.
Individuals should not attempt to recover stolen property. Report stolen property to police for action.
