Exchange Programs

LSU is proud to regularly welcome exchange students to our campus. An exchange program at LSU broadens your global horizons with LSU's world-class faculty and immerses you in Louisiana's rich culture. An exchange also allows you to earn course credit at your home university, continuing your degree program while you visit LSU for a semester or academic year. 

If you're interested in coming to LSU as a short-term exchange student, you'll need to connect with your home university first to discuss the application process; they will be your initial point of contact to start your exchange journey!

Be sure to stay in touch with your home university; since they are your degree-granting institution, they will have the most up-to-date information about transferring your course credits, managing visa paperwork, and completing your exchange.
