PubMed

PubMed is a database comprising over 36 million citations for biomedical and life sciences literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books.

Scopus - New

Scopus is a comprehensive abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature containing over 94 million records covering a wide variety of disciplines within the life sciences, health sciences, physical sciences, and social sciences. It finds authoritative research, identifies experts, and provides access to reliable data, metrics, and analytical tools.

Web of Science

Web of Science is a platform of multiple databases designed to support scientific and scholarly research. The platform contains over 215 million records of scholarly literature from the sciences, social sciences, humanities, and arts. It provides citation analysis tools that include citation tracking, citation counts, and author h-index calculations.

CABI Digital Library

CABI Digital Library is a comprehensive life sciences platform that includes all CABI databases and collections including CAB Abstracts, Global Health, VetMed Resource, etc. It contains over 15 million records covering a variety of scientific disciplines including agriculture, veterinary medicine, human health, and nutrition.

VetMed Resource

VetMed Resource is a database from CABI International with a specific focus on veterinary medicine. It contains over 2.4 million indexed records of abstracts, news articles, book chapters, and disease datasheets. Up-to-date developments in veterinary science and evidence based practices​ are provided. Content of VetMed Resource can also be searched within the CABI Digital Library platform.  

Vetlexicon Clinical Reference

Vetlexicon provides structured point of care information for the treatment of canine, feline, equine, bovine, lapis, and exotics. It contains over 28,000 peer-reviewed text and multimedia resources on diseases, drugs, diagnostic and surgical techniques as well as evidence-based treatment plans, detailed formularies, alternative medicine, owner factsheets, client handouts, toxicology, and more.

Thieme's MedOne VetMed - New

Thieme MedOne VetMed is a database offering access to nearly 100 eBooks on veterinary medicine as well as images and videos that can help you create content for lessons and lectures. It is an excellent resource for learning, review, and research in veterinary medicine and the life sciences. IMPORTANT NOTE: You must be in the Veterinary Medicine subject filter to access content. Animal Behaviour and Welfare Cases is a collection of real-life examples of animal behaviour and welfare in practice. It is a database of educational, practical cases that is an excellent resource for students, researchers, and industry practitioners. 

Anipedia

Anipedia is a platform that provides access to the eBooks Infectious Diseases of Livestock, Plant Poisonings and Mycotoxicoses of Livestock in Southern Africa, Veterinary Helminthology, and several ticks and tick-borne disease monographs.

BSAVA Library

BSAVA Library provides access to a range of book, webinar and audio content including twenty-six manuals on veterinary topics, proceedings from BSAVA Congress 2015-2023, the BSAVA Small Animal Formulary, BSAVA Guide to Nutrition, Companion Magazine, Client Information Leaflets, Scientific Information Documents and over two hundred CPD webinars.

This is the definitive research tool for nursing and allied health professionals. With CINAHL Complete users get fast and easy access to top nursing and allied health journals, evidence-based care sheets and quick lessons. 

Films on Demand – Veterinary Science & Technology Collection

Films on Demand contains over 298 short films and videos covering various topics on veterinary foundations, veterinary skills, the veterinary workplace, veterinary treatments, and veterinary procedures.  

HSTalks' Biomedical Life Sciences Collection

HSTalks' Biomedical Life Sciences Collection contains over 2,000 lectures, seminar-style talks, and case studies by leading world experts, and covers a broad range of biomedical and life sciences topics.

Zoological Record

Zoological Record is the world's oldest continuing database of animal biology. It is considered the world's leading taxonomic reference, and with coverage back to 1864, has long acted as the world's unofficial register of animal names. Provides access to worldwide zoological literature covering major areas of the field including behavior, biodiversity, ecology, evolution, habitat, nutrition, parasitology, reproduction, taxonomy, and zoogeography.

Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide

Offering a global perspective, this resource is the world's largest index to literature on wild mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. All aspects of wildlife and wildlife management are covered including individual species, habitat types, wildlife behavior, ecotourism, and zoology.

Agricola

Agricola is a database containing bibliographic records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library. Coverage for AGRICOLA dates back to 1970 and includes more than 4.8 million citations on subjects covering plant and animal sciences, food and nutrition, agriculture, biotechnology, entomology, forestry, and wildlife.

Earth, Atmospheric & Aquatic Science

Earth, Atmospheric & Aquatic Science database includes access to the Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts, Oceanic Abstracts, and Meteorological & Geoastrophysical Abstracts, and provides articles published in scholarly journals, trade and industry journals, magazines, technical reports, conference proceedings, and government publications covering the critical issues affecting the earth’s air, land, and water environments.
